Dennis is a Partner in the firm’s St. John’s office with a practice that involves general corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions. Dennis was lead counsel to FPI Limited in its recent $300 million divestiture of assets to High Liner Foods Incorporated and Ocean Choice International. Dennis represents several junior oil and gas, and mining companies, providing advice on corporate structure, financing, joint operating agreements, farm in and farm out agreements and regulatory issues. Dennis also practices general environmental law with an emphasis on matters that deal with contaminated site clean-up, provincial waste management initiatives and obligations, marine environmental law, and regulatory compliance. Best Lawyers in Canada 2010 recognizes him as a leader in the field of Environmental Law.
