About Dan

Dan is a Partner in our St. John’s office. Dan’s areas of practice include civil litigation, class actions, administrative law, employment law and general contract law. He has considerable litigation experience including matters involving construction, industrial and technical issues. He has represented clients before Commissions of Inquiry in Newfoundland and Labrador concerning cancer testing errors and offshore helicopter safety. He has worked cooperatively with lawyers from across Canada on a national class action claiming compensation for institutional child abuse.

Dan was inducted in 2017 as a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He was named Best Lawyers 2020 and 2022 Administrative and Public Law “Lawyer of the Year “ in St. John’s. Dan is listed as a Provincial Litigation Star under Construction, Employment, and Personal Injury (plaintiff) Law in Benchmark Canada and is ranked in the Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory.
