Shannon is an experienced litigator and is also trained in alternative dispute resolution. She has appeared before the trial and appellate levels of the Prince Edward Island Supreme Court on commercial, insurance, estate and general litigation matters. Shannon has represented clients before a number of administrative tribunals and has also acted as both counsel and prosecutor for regulatory boards on professional discipline matters. She is certified to practice collaborative law in the province of Prince Edward Island and has successfully obtained client settlements using that process as well as through mediation.


An active member of the Canadian Bar Association, Shannon was a Branch President from 2006-2007. She has also sat on the CBA’s National Ethics and Professional Issues Committee. Shannon is also a member of the Prince Edward Island Law Society and currently serves on its Ethics Committee. She also sits on the Queens County Residential Services Board, is a member of the Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce and sits on the Chamber’s Business Development Committee. In addition to her undergraduate and law degrees, Shannon holds certificates in Interest-Based Negotiation, and Mediation level II from the Center for Conflict Resolution Studies at the University of Prince Edward Island.
