Larry Hayes, QC, receives honourary Doctorate in Civil Law from Saint Mary's University

McInnes Copper is pleased to announce that Larry Hayes, QC, received an honourary Doctorate in Civil Law from Saint Mary’s University on Sunday, January 22 – the first winter convocation for the University.
As stated in their press release:
“Larry Hayes has been Saint Mary’s legal counsel for more than 40 years. He has served on the University’s Board of Governors and in 1970 was instrumental in the drafting and enactment of the Saint Mary’s University Act and the appointment of the University’s first lay president. Recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada for his Estates and Trusts work, he is a former Managing Partner of the Law Firm of McInnes Cooper and continues with that firm as Counsel.”
Philip Riteman, a Holocaust survivor and successful Atlantic Canadian businessman was also honoured at the event.
